The Origin
Marco Sonzini came to The Los Angeles Recording School with a passion for audio engineering — the art of capturing sound at its source and shaping it into a finished record. He wanted to be the person behind the board, the one who made artists sound their best.
At LARS, Marco developed fluency in recording engineering, mixing, and studio production. The hands-on training in professional studios gave him the practical skills to step into any recording environment and deliver.
After graduating, Marco built a career engineering for a diverse range of artists — from the genre-defying artistry of Janelle Monaé to the comedic musical genius of The Lonely Island.
His engineering credits include Janelle Monaé's critically acclaimed Dirty Computer album and The Lonely Island's The Wack Album, demonstrating a versatility that spans the full spectrum of modern music.
"Engineering is about capturing the moment. The right microphone, the right room, the right take — when it all clicks, it's magic."
— Marco Sonzini · LARS Alumni
