The Origin

Jordan Wilby was fascinated by the invisible art of sound editing — the craft of building worlds through audio that audiences feel but never consciously notice. It's the sound of wind that makes a scene feel cold, the creak of a floorboard that makes you jump, the ambient hum that makes a world feel real.

At The Los Angeles Recording School, Jordan developed the technical foundation in audio post-production, sound design, and editing that would become the backbone of his career. The hands-on training gave him the skills to step into professional post-production houses.

After graduating, Jordan built a career in television sound editing — working on some of Netflix's most acclaimed and culturally defining series. His work on Stranger Things would earn him two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Beyond Stranger Things, Jordan's sound editing credits span the Netflix Marvel universe — Daredevil, The Punisher, and The Defenders — making him one of the most prolific sound editors in streaming television.

"Sound is 50% of the experience. The audience may not know what they're hearing, but they feel it in every scene."
